Kirkby Gallery’s opening times have now changed, and visits are in timed slots

Kirkby Gallery is now open on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, with 6 visiting times available each day: 10am, 11am, 12noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

The number of visitors is strictly limited to 10 at any one time due to Covid restrictions to allow for social distancing. We recommend advance booking otherwise you may need to wait for the next available slot. Please note, Prescot Museum remains closed for the time being as it is in use as a Covid testing facility.

In the interim period until Covid measures are further eased, Kirkby Gallery will be showing films in the gallery on the big screen, with a different choice each week:

17, 18 & 21 May – Made on Merseyside

24, 25 & 28 May – Willy Russell: All Around Knowsley

31 May, 1 & 4 June – Willy Russell: Another Aspect, plus a slideshow of his artworks

7, 8 & 11 June – Picturing 100 Years, plus a slideshow of the exhibition, artworks and artefacts

To book your visit, please email with your preferred day and time, and number of places required. We will then get back to you to confirm. Simple!
